About Uros island and Taquile island

Itinerary
- 7:15 AM – Hotel pick-up in Puno followed by transfer to the city’s main port, where you will board a modern motorboat.
- Navigation by motorboat towards the Uros Floating Islands, with an approximate travel time of 30 minutes.
- Arrival at the Uros Islands and interaction with the local inhabitants, who share insights into their ancestral traditions, daily life, and unique floating island culture.
- Optional activity: Opportunity to enjoy a short ride on a traditional totora reed boat, sailing across the clear waters of Lake Titicaca.
- Departure from the Uros Islands to continue the journey towards Taquile Island, with an approximate travel time of 1 hour and 40 minutes by boat.
- Arrival at Taquile Island and guided walk along ancient stone paths (approximately 20–30 minutes), ascending to the village. Here, you will meet local residents known for their remarkable textile craftsmanship, recognized by UNESCO as part of Peru’s cultural heritage. From this vantage point, enjoy panoramic views over the vast expanse of Lake Titicaca.
